Q: What does it cost?
A: The current (Oct 2011) hourly rate is R850. The monthly cost will depend on how many hours the member spends on the client’s business, but will be agreed before entering into a contract.
Q: What is the notice period?
A: The notice period is one calendar month. Notice is required in writing.
Q: Can the work be done on a project basis?
A: Yes, if you prefer, a project contract can be agreed, based on the project requirements and priced on a time and materials basis or a fixed project cost can be quoted.
Q: What happens if I am not satisfied with the work done?
A: We will redo the work if you are not completely satisfied with the results you get. However we do request that you advise us promptly if there is anything you are unhappy about.
Q: How are you qualified?
A: All our members are accredited by the Institute for Independent Business which is an accreditation body based in the UK.
Q: Are there any areas of business where you would not be able to help me?
A: Our members have expertise in a number of varied industries and types of business. If we feel that the work requires special skills that we don’t have ourselves we will look for those skills among the 6,000-odd associates of the IIB. It is an important requirement of our Code of Conduct that we do not undertake work for which we are not qualified.
