Charles has a background in fundamental business analysis and asset management having been involved in merchant banking, investment analysis, asset management as well as risk analysis in South Africa and other African countries. His experience encompasses the analysis of a wide variety of companies in several economic sectors but mainly industrial, mining, and financial institutions. This included both a macro and micro level view leading to a report-back on the financial, competitor, marketing situation and an examination of future growth prospects and strategic alignment. Strategic positioning has been an important element leading to an efficient asset allocation position. Recent activities have included strategy, BBBEE scoring and other aid to SME’s.

Patrick started his career as an Instrumentation Mechanician. He became one of SA’s leading experts in nuclear instrumentation for all aspects of the mining and manufacturing industry. He has managed hi-tech electronics repair workshops with up to 26 technicians, who were also responsible for onsite commissioning. He has owned three businesses ranging from consulting (instrumentation), manufacturing for retail (in Australia). Over the past 5 years he has engaged in his passion - SME business management support..

Qualifications: T4 Electronic Technician, M Sc.

Donald has spent many years as an electronic design technician. He then moved into production management. His first challenge was the conversion of a batch production line into a flow line. He has subsequently specialised in manufacturing, and in particular production management. He has gained hands-on experience in the challenges facing small businesses, and more recently has specialised in strategic evaluation and planning.

Geoffrey started his career as a bank clerk, moved through middle management in the corporate world, shifted to smaller companies and progressed to Financial Director. He has had extensive experience in accounting, administration, HR management, purchasing, logistics, and close contact with support professionals such as bankers, auditors, insurers, lawyers, etc, as well as the general management of SME’s. His experience includes manufacturing, TV broadcasting and rentals, public transport, government sectors, restaurants, software marketing and support, banking, public utilities, and other industries. Geoffrey has been consulting since 1989 and is also an accredited consultant for the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC).

Garth started his career in branch banking, was involved in the establishment of corporate banking at Nedbank and then in the establishment of electronic banking. Garth was Head of Saswitch (Pty) Ltd  (the ATM and credit card switch) before moving to DiData as Projects Director. He then took over responsibility for training, performance management and career development. He was a director at Knowledge Universe Group SA (Pty) Ltd where he was responsible for the training of coaches. He has lectured on small business management courses at CIDA University and Damelin.
